Home alone: what 2020 has taught us

The year 2020 will never be forgotten at least by the fact that it locked us home and made us completely change our lifestyle and priorities. And this did have its advantages. Yes, it sounds strange, but it is true. We learned to love our home and finally took a closer look at it.

Our friends tell us that someone for the first time in several years saw the upholstery on the armchairs, someone was surprised to find a rearrangement in the nursery: “How long has this sofa been here?!” Many people realized that they needed at least one more room: “Why don't we have an office? How could we forget it when we were discussing the project with the designer? And a gym?" There were also those who moved to a hotel at the earliest opportunity - for a beautiful view from the windows and impeccable hotel service. In a word, we all learned to listen to ourselves and did something that we simply didn’t have enough time to do before - we shaped a clear vision of ​​our ideal home.

We believe this to be a trigger for high sales figures that Knight Frank analysts recorded at ANT Development after the partial lifting of restrictive measures and throughout the year. A new take on home, life, comfort – this is what we build into DNA of all the projects in our portfolio with no exceptions. Three times in 2020 «Poklonnaya 9» premium class apartment complex was among TOP-three properties by the number of transactions. Sales volume turned out to be 64% higher than forecasted. In monetary terms, the plan was exceeded by 40%. The most impressive demand was recorded in September: all planned targets were almost doubled. It should also be noted that «Poklonnaya 9» is a single sales leader in Dorogomilovo district according to Knight Frank specialists’ report. 

Now let’s go back to the missing room mentioned above. We noticed an interesting tendency: after the quarantine demand for large and at the same time functional areas increased. If earlier an average area sold in «Poklonnaya 9» project was about 89 sq.m, in September it increased to 95 sq.m.

Let’s look back – what else did we dream of in 2020 during the lockdown? Someone will say – treadmills. Yes, during the first months of quarantine sales volume of this home exercise equipment grew more than tenfold. At ANT Development we are used to thinking big and this year we encouraged our customers to think of a jogging track in your own park. We are talking about start of sales of the elite-class residential complex Victory Park Residences. In November the project of Victory Park Residences was awarded the prestigious Urban Awards 2020, becoming the winner in the nominations "Best Elite Residential Complex under Construction" and "Premiere of the Year". Based in the prestigious Dorogomilovo district, the complex is located next to Victory Park and, most importantly, has its own private park the size of six football fields. In addition to this there is a landscape design which includes ponds, a Japanese garden, playgrounds, lounges, fountains, private meditation areas, a walking area for four-legged pets, sun loungers, barbecue areas and of course jogging tracks. It is not surprising that after entering the market, almost 1/3 of lots available in the complex were sold within three months and the residential complex became one of the sales leaders in Dorogomilovo alongside «Poklonnaya 9». An average area sold in this project amounted to 116 sq. m.

Last year has taught us to be bold, launch ambitious projects and keep moving forward to improve service and comfort in our projects, this is why we decided to open luxurious lifestyle hotel. Hotel will be located in Moscow premium-class complex «Poklonnaya 9», two minutes away from Kutuzovsky Prospekt and the Triumphal Arch. You have to agree that in the light of this year events living in an apartment with five-star service and infrastructure sounds almost like a fairy tale. But this fairy tale is destined to come true. Literally. The Rockwell Group, a leading architecture and design firm from New York, which is responsible for the interiors of public spaces and hotel rooms, chose the motives of Russian epics and fairy tales as the main source of inspiration for this project. They will be reflected in the interior in the form of a bright color palette, unique finishing materials and design items.

We can’t speak for everyone but 2020 has shown that ANT Development is on the right track and projects we create speak to city residents who proved it with their high buying activity. Will there be new projects of international level? Yes, there will be. But it is a whole other story.
